Clay County CARES Act Fund Reporting
(Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act)
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act was established to help provide funds nationwide at the state and local levels for unforeseen expenses related to responses and damages attributed to the pandemic. The Coronavirus Relief Fund granted the State of Missouri $2,379,853,017 to disburse statewide to 114 counties and one city. Clay County was allocated $29,323,887 to be distributed to our local municipalities, school districts, and health partners based an equitable formula developed in conjunction with local municipal leaders. This produced a plan of action that quickly and efficiently released CARES Act funding to community partners. Clay County appreciates the time and contributions of all involved in this process, and we are proud to see funds already being used in relief efforts.
In the continued interest of transparency and accountability, this webpage has been set up to show the distribution process and data related to all eligible expenditures partnering agencies make utilizing Clay County’s portion of CARES Act funding in response to the COVID-19 emergency. This page will be updated as quickly as possible after each report is issued to the County.
Please note that spending commitments can change frequently. Examples include orders that are canceled, changes to quantity and pricing, etc. If you have any questions about the information provided, please email publicservices@claycountymo.gov.
