The Clay County Commissioners recently honored Peyton Thompson of Scout Troop 376 for his successful completion of requirements for the National Eagle Scout Court of Honor.

In order to receive the National Eagle Scout of Honor, a Scout must successfully demonstrate the 12 points of the Scout Law. The 12 points include a scout that is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.

Peyton built two raised beds and placed them at the Historic Pharis Farm where they will be used to grow vegetables and flowers.

We wish Peyton continuing success in all his future endeavors.
