Searching for plans this weekend? The City of Liberty, Historic Downtown Liberty, Inc. and Clay County would like to extend an invitation to Hometown Holidays and the Mayor's Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, this Saturday, December 7, 2019 on the Historic Downtown Liberty Square.
Bring friends and family on the square for a fun day of s'more-making, shopping, playing games and more. There will be live jazz music, so bring a chair to enjoy the band, or head inside the Clay County Administration building in the middle of the square to take pictures with Santa. Free, family-friendly activities will be held around the square from 2-5 p.m. and the Mayor's Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will begin at 5:15 p.m.
Hometown Holidays is also a great opportunity to shop local businesses and boutiques for unique gifts this holiday season. Stop by early and grab a Shopping Passport from the HDLI Building at 117B N. Main St. after 10 a.m. Visitors that check-in at all 12 of the local participating businesses by 5 p.m. will be entered to win gift card prizes on the December 9th drawing.
