Clay County joins with others across Missouri and the nation in supporting victims of domestic violence, and likewise recognizing the work of court advocates, victim service providers, and organizations who work tirelessly to extend healing and hope every day.

Our County is committed to upholding each citizen’s fundamental right to be free from the threat of violence and abuse, and thus the Clay County Commission hereby proclaim October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month in Clay County, Missouri.

We would like to invite the public to join us in observing National Domestic Violence Awareness Month on October 16, 2019, at 12:30 p.m., with the unveiling of a newly-renovated Resource Center at the James S. Rooney Justice Center.

A special recognition to Robin Winner and Andrea Raya of Synergy Services for their efforts in advocating for this Honorary Resolution.
