On November 18, 2019 the Clay County Commission voted to approve Resolution 2019-374, which effectively begins the formation of a Constitutional Charter Advisory Committee.

The committee will be comprised of 12 members and will be tasked with seeking public input and developing recommendations from Clay County residents regarding drafting legislation for the proposed constitutional charter.

The Commission believes the citizens of Clay County should have a primary role in creating any such constitutional legislation considered for adoption throughout the county.

Appointments to the committee will be finalized on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, and subsequently posted to the official Clay County Constitution website, www.claycountyconstitution.org.
