The County Administrator’s Office with Clay County is currently seeking applicants who are dynamic and energetic with an interest in having a direct impact on promoting Clay County to become a premier destination for business, leisure, travelers, as well as outdoor enthusiasts. 

In coordination with public and private sector partners, the Tourism & Marketing Coordinator promotes travel, recreation, cultural and historic attractions, as well as the County’s goods and services. If you are an individual interested in utilizing your creative and innovative skills to highlight Clay County as a highly desirable community and travel destination this is an exciting opportunity for YOU. 

The Tourism and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for a wide variety of professional duties that develop strategies, programs, and policies to promote responsible tourism, effectively manage tourism impacts, and stimulate economic development through tourism. The position assists with the creation and implementation of the countywide marketing program that effectively describes and promotes Clay County, Missouri

Starting Salary: $60,000 - $75,000/annually, plus Benefits - Clay County offers a great benefit package to regular full and part-time employees including two defined benefit retirement plans fully funded by the County and a deferred-compensation plan with a match on the first 6% contributed. We also offer three medical plans including two high deductible plans, dental, vision, two flexible spending accounts, and supplemental plans. Full-time employees are also offered life insurance (2X annual salary) paid by the County, paid vacation/sick leave, 14 paid holidays, LTD and tuition reimbursement.
