Job Information

The primary purpose of this seasonal position is to assist the Parks Department in meeting business demands by provide the care and maintenance of park or historic site facilities and grounds. Clean vault latrines, restrooms, picnic areas, and/or camp areas; mows grass, hauls trash, and cuts/hauls firewood. Safely drive motor vehicles such as cars, pickup trucks, utility vehicle, mowing machines, snow removal equipment, chain saws, and similar equipment. Perform litter control tasks within the park including picking up barrels and loading them into truck or utility vehicle. Perform minor repairs such as painting structures, replacing washers on plumbing, and replacing screens and glass panes on windows and doors. Perform minor repair and replacement of parts on most facility equipment and vehicles. Greet the public and provide information regarding park rules, regulations, and available resources. Follow all County and departmental safety rules, regulations and procedures. Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings, be at least 16 years old, legally licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle, and able to work outdoors for extended periods.

Starting Salary:
$13.00/hour
