HEALTH BENEFITS

The County offers group health and dental insurance for full- and part-time employees.

Three health insurance plans are currently available including two Health Savings Account plans. 

DEFERRED COMPENSATION

Eligible employees may elect to participate in the CERF 457B plan which is a voluntary retirement savings program. CERF matches a portion of the employee’s savings.

TUITION REIMBURSEMENT

Regular full time employees with at least one year of continuous employment are eligible for tax free educational assistance for college degree coursework. Funding is subject to the annual budget appropriation process.

LIFE INSURANCE

Regular full-time employees are eligible for County-paid life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance in the amount of two (2) times their current annual salary with a maximum cap of $250,000.

Deputy Case Manager
The County of Clay, Missouri has an opening for a full-time Deputy Case Manager in Liberty, MO. The primary purpose of this position is coordinating the care for citizens who are wards of the court. This includes placement, funding, legal issues, hospitalizations, entitlements, community providers, filing updates, maintaining correct addresses and court-required reports. The Deputy Case Manager serves as primary contact for providers, including nursing homes, hospitals, community mental health organizations, and other care providers. The position is required to be on call 24/7 and available to respond to emergency calls, including weekends and holidays. Up to 40% of work performed is time in travel or working various of-site locations. Must have a bachelor's degree in social services, social work, or psychology and/or equivalent years of work experience.

Code Inspector
The County of Clay, Missouri has an opening for a full-time Code Inspector in Liberty, MO. This position ensures all properties throughout unincorporated Clay County meet code requirements by completing inspections and investigations. Candidates will need two years of related experience or education and it is preferred they are knowledgeable of of local government planning and land use terminology, practices, procedures, and laws.
