Please note that you will need the PIN number printed on the paper assessment form mailed to you. PINs cannot be given out over the phone for security reasons.
The Clay County Assessor's Office wishes everyone a happy and successful New Year.
All County Assessors in Missouri are required to value real estate property in the county as of January 1st of each odd numbered year. January 1, 2017 is the assessment date for the current assessment cycle.
All valuations will be posted online approximately April 3, 2017 If the assessed value of your property increases, a Change-of-Value Notice will be mailed to you.
The Assessor's Office will start scheduling informal Hearings after April 1st. To schedule an appointment for an informal hearing, call our office between April 3rd and April 28th.

The Assessor’s Office is tasked to ensure that the tax burden is distributed equitably among all property owners. To accomplish this all property is valued with uniform and consistent processes and procedures following Missouri Revised Statutes.

The GIS/Mapping division creates, manages, and publishes land parcel data using current geographical information system (GIS) technology. Custom maps are available for purchase.
