Cooperative Communication Officer
Control Center Operator, Detention Division
Employee will work 8 hour shifts as assigned. Responsible for monitoring safety and security of staff and inmates, ensuring facility rules are followed, using electronic controls to open/close security doors, etc. Starting salary: $10.70/hr, $22,289/yr plus uniform allowance, full benefits.
Detention Officer, Detention Division
Employee will work 8 or 10 hour shifts as assigned. Responsible for patrolling and supervising inmates inside the detention center, conducts periodic counts, searches inmates, intervenes during emergencies, and escorts/transports inmates to predetermined locations. Previous law enforcement, military experience or corrections background preferred. Starting Salary: $13.84/hour, $28,787.20/year plus uniform allowance, full benefits.
Deputy Sheriff, Detention Division
Employee will work 8 or 10 hour shifts or as assigned. This is an entry level position for all commissioned personnel. Responsible for maintaining security, processes individuals in and out of detention facility, supervises and controls all inmate activities, performs cell and dayroom shakedowns, responds to emergency codes, enforces inmate rules and initiates disciplinary action if necessary, and escorts/transports inmates to predetermined location. Must have a valid Missouri PEACE officer license and be a Missouri resident at the time of commission. Starting Salary: $16.03 hr, $33,342.40/year plus uniform allowance, full benefits.
