National James/Younger Gang Conference 2015

 
Mark your calendars to attend the 2015 National James/Younger Gang Conference in Kearney, Missouri October 1st, 2nd, & 3rd.

Join us as we get up close and personal with the James Family story in Kearney, Missouri! Learn about Frank and Jesse’s unique place in time and what contributed to their lives as outlaws.
 
The conference costs $89 per person for all the entrance fees, knowledgeable speakers, comfy bus transportation tour and the annual banquet.
 
Special James/Younger Gang rates are available at the Super 8 in Kearney call 816.628.6800 be sure to mention the JYG to get the special rate. The more attendees the more fun and for everyone!

  • Tour of the James Farm Museum
  • Visit Jesse & Zee’s grave.
  • Learn more about the James family.
  • Learn about the Pinkerton Raid that maimed Jesse’s mother and killed his half brother.
  • Learn about early photographic tech-niques and a behind the scenes tour of the “Outlaws & Gangsters” exhibit at the Nelson-Atkins Museum which houses the Hallmark 19th Century Photographic collection.
  • Visit the Liberty Bank where the first daylight bank robbery was attempt-ed– by “you know who.”
  • Learn about period clothing for soldiers and everyday people in the 1860-80’s.
  • Brian Ivlow will present “Guns of the Civil War” He is an expert on Civil War era guns including muzzle loaders and black powder.
