Divided Loyalties: Civil War Soldiers Buried in Clay County, Missouri

 

Sunday, May 31st, from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at the Jesse James Farm & Museum

Mr. Nelson and Mr. Meyers conducted and compiled the research and did much of the writing for Divided Loyalties: Civil War Soldiers Buried in Clay County, Missouri, published by the Clay County Archives. They will provide an overview of Civil War related events and issues locally, providing insight into how the war impacted Clay County citizens prior to, during, and following the war, and profile some of the more prominent and interesting individuals, be they Union, Confederate, Home Guard, or Guerrilla soldiers. Copies of the book will be available for sale following the presentation. 

The presentation is free and open to the public, no reservations required. Admission will apply to the Jesse James Farm & Museum, including the traveling exhibit A State Divided: The Civil War in Missouri, and guided tours of the historic James Family home. Call (816)736-8500 for more information.
