Childhood on the Farm

Visitors of all ages will learn about what Jesse James' childhood was like through an interactive exhibit opening at the Jesse James Farm and Museum on June 20th, 2015. Kids can dress up in period costumes, play marble games, get a taste of what going to school in the mid-1800s was like, learn about the diet of the typical Missouri farmer of the day, and find out what kind of chores Jesse and his siblings would have likely done on the farm.

This exhibit is included with admission to the museum, which also includes a 20 minute film, three galleries containing the largest collection of James Family artifacts in the world, and a guided tour of the historic home where Jesse was born and raised.

For hours, admission prices, and more information about the museum, see the Jesse James Farm and Museum page of our website, or call (816)736-8500.

The last to see this exhibit is Sunday, January 10th, 2016. On January 11th, we will close the gallery to install a new exhibit. The 3rd gallery of the museum will reopen by January 16th. The rest of the galleries will remain open.
