Son Of A Bandit!: The Retrial of Jesse E. James (aka Jesse Jr.)

 

son of a bandit.jpgSunday, June 10th, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Gano Chapel on the William Jewell College campus, a cast will reenact the trial of Jesse Edward James, son of the outlaw Jesse James. Jesse Jr. was tried for a train robbery that occurred on September 23rd, 1898 at Leeds, near Kansas City, Missouri. The script is based on the book Son Of A Bandit, Jesse James & the Leeds Gang by Ralph A. Monaco II.

Tickets are $10 each. The Jesse James Farm & Museum in Kearney, The Jesse James Bank Museum on the Historic Downtown Liberty Square, and the Friends of the James Farm will be selling tickets. Tickets will also be for sale at the door prior to the performance.

The John Gano Memorial Chapel is located at the center of the William Jewell College campus in Liberty, Missouri, next to the student union, and near the intersection of Mississippi St. and Miller Ave.
