Jesse James: More Dead Than Alive

Saturday, October 27th, at 1:00 pm at the Jesse James Farm & Museum - Lee Ward, owner of the Museum of Funeral History in Independence, Missouri, will speak about the death of Jesse James and what became of his body - from the embalming at Seidenfaden’s Funeral Parlor in St Joseph to the photography of Jesse's body in the coffin by James W. Graham.  Mr. Ward will cover all aspects of the 19th century funerary practice and how it related to the preservation of Jesse's body.
 
The event is free and open to the public.
