Juneteenth Freedom Celebration

Saturday, June 18th at historic Garrison School, 502 N. Water Street, Liberty, MO - 2:00pm to 4:00pm - The Clay County African American Legacy will host its 10th annual Juneteenth Freedom Celebration. “In keeping with the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War, the legacy group will be celebrating 148 years of freedom for African Americans.

The program will focus on black and white abolitionist who fought to abolish slavery in our country, and will give residents information omitted from most history books,” said historian Dr. Cecelia Robinson.
