Clay County Collector of Revenue
Lydia McEvoy grew up in Clay County, and returned to Clay County in 2004 to raise her own children near family. She has a law degree from Ohio Northern University, where she was a published member of the Law Review, and received multiple academic and moot court honors. She also teaches occasional classes for area universities.
When she returned to Kansas City in 2004, she obtained her real estate broker’s license and worked with the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City to help attract businesses to Kansas City and retain them here.
She has actively practiced law since 1999.
She has been married to her husband, Kevin, since 1999, and has a son and two daughters. Her hobbies include singing with her church worship team, playing and teaching piano, and riding her motorcycle.
