Have you ever wanted to learn more about your County or become a more active resident?


Now's your chance! Clay County is offering a FREE six week Civic Academy!

 

The Clay County Civic Academy is a six-week program offered in the spring and fall. It provides citizens with the opportunity to learn more about the inner workings of their government, including how decisions are made and how money is spent. Participants will also be able to ask questions of the elected officials and department heads in attendance, including Clay County commissioners.

The program is intended to provide participants with insight on how local governments work, promote open lines of communication and offer a clearer understanding of a county government. The course is open to any resident of Clay County who is willing to devote 2 hours a week tClay County MO Homepage Logoo learning about county operations and processes.

Civic Academy classes are held once per week from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Spring and Fall. Each course is limited to 20 people.
